We had such a great time this weekend! Saturday was a nice, relaxing day...spent with my boys. I got up early (as usual), and went to a garage sale that advertised boy clothes. I needed to get Ian some 12 month things because he is quickly getting too long for his 9 month clothes (even though he's only 8 months!) Anyway, the lady that had the garage sale was super nice. She wanted to get rid of everything, so she said that every clothes item was 50 cents! Almost everything was Baby Gap and Gymboree, so I loaded up. I ended up getting 40 clothing items (12-24 months), a Halloween costume for Ian, 2 pairs of shoes, and a "Sit and Spin" toy for $25. Not bad!! Later that day, we played with Ian and I got my hair cut & highlighted. Ian has been doing a "worm" crawl lately, but he is getting pretty fast. On Saturday, I was getting ready in our bathroom, and I heard some noise out in the hall. Our little worm crawled out of his room and sat in the hall in front of our door! It was so cute! I have a feeling that the baby gates need to go up very soon, though!
On Sunday, Ian and I traveled to Tulsa. We had a busy scheduled planned! Our first stop was in Coweta to visit my cousin's wife, Ashley, and their little boy, Hudson. My cousin, Scott, was on a fishing trip, so I didn't get to see him this time around. Hudson is 4.5 months and he had already grown up so much since I last saw him! Ashley made a delicious lunch, and we had fun chatting and letting the boys play together. Ian had a great time playing will all of Hudson's toys, too!Our next stop was in Ft. Gibson, about 45 minutes from Tulsa. My good friend from pharmacy school, Alicia, lives there with her family. They just built a beautiful new house on their land, and it backs up to a small lake. They have two little boys, Cole and Conner. Cole is about 2.5 years old, and Conner was born 6 days after Ian! This was our first time to meet Conner, so we were looking forward to seeing them. We caught up, had another delicious meal, and played outside.
This pic cracks me up because it looks like Ian is trying to look buff...hehe! Isn't Conner adorable!
This was Ian's first time to swing outside, and he LOVED it! I would've stayed in there all night!
Here is a pic of Alicia and Conner
Alicia's husband, Marc, pulling Cole and Conner around in the wagon.
Alicia and I in front of the water!
Of course, Ian had to try out the wagon too!
Cole wanted to pull Ian at first, then he decided to join him inside
Conner liked the swing, too!
I love this pic...such brotherly love! :) Ian had a great time with the boys!
It was such a good day! Marc and Alicia offered to let us stay the night at their house, so we were well taken care of....they were wonderful hosts. Monday morning, we headed back up to Tulsa for some more fun.To Be Continued...
