Halfway there...

I've made it through the first 20 weeks of my pregnancy! I have been feeling ten times better, so I am so thankful. We have been starting to look for nursery furniture and plan for baby Ian's arrival. I am finally starting to get somewhat of a baby bump...which I suppose it's about time. I am still wearing my regular clothes, but pants are starting to get pretty snug. I'm sure there's more growing to come!
On another note, this Sunday is Jason's birthday!! We are planning a big BBQ with friends on Sunday. Tomorrow, we're heading to Norman to see Jason's parents and the rest of his family. Everyone will be in town for our niece's 21st birthday bash.
Happy Birthday Jason and Chelci!!!!!!!!

It's a Boy!

Last Thursday, we were able to have our ultrasound! I was 18 weeks and 1 day, so we were hoping that we would be able to find out the gender of our little one. Fortunately, the baby cooperated and moved around a lot! (The caffeine I had at lunch may have helped :) Everything looked good, as far as the heart rate, cord, and measurements. They "clocked" me at 18 weeks and 2 days, which was almost right on! These means that my due date stays at September 15th.

A funny story...during the sonogram, the ultrasound tech was finding everything soooo fast! She was literally saying, "there's the head, there are the legs, there are the feet, there's the heart, etc." I said, "Gosh, you're really good at seeing things! Do you already know the sex of the baby?" She said, "Yep!" Of course, I asked, "Well, what is it?!" She responded by saying, "I can't tell you until the end....that's anticlimactic!" So....we had to be patient and wait...
When she finally got to the following view, I exclaimed, "It's a boy!" "Yep," she said, "it's a boy!"
Before I left, I asked her how confident she was about the gender. She said that she never said that she was 100% sure, but she said that she was 99.9% sure. I guess we'll take her word for it!

After the sonogram, I had my OB appointment and my doctor said that everything looked great! We are so thankful that our baby seems to be healthy. Please join us in praying for a continued healthy pregnancy and baby. Oh, one more thing, we've decided to name him:
Ian Jace Snodgrass

Lake Trip with my Pharm Girls!

This past weekend was so much fun! Seven of my closest friends from pharmacy school and I went to Grand Lake for a girl's weekend! We stayed in a cute litte cabin, spent a lot of time catching up, built a bonfire for roasting marshmallows and hotdogs, and enjoyed the beautiful scenery! I love these girls so much and I'm so thankful that we're still able to get together (although we missed seeing Alycia). We are already planning our get together for next year...

Easter Weekend

This year we got to celebrate Easter by going to church, then having some friends from our Life Group over for lunch! Since it was a special holiday occasion, I decided to use our china. This was the first time I've gotten to use it since we got it nearly 4 years ago! It looked super nice on the table.
I even had a few special touches for Easter. :) Both to look at....
...and to eat! Yum!

Here is a pic of the pretty flowering trees by our house. The pink tree is ours and the white tree is our neighbors. Wichita is literally COVERED with flowering trees right now!
Here is a 16.5 week picture. Try to ignore my sunburned face... :)

Easter Sun Run 2010

Today Jason and I participated in the "Easter Sun Run." This was an event to benefit Youth Horizons, a Christian organization that matches adult mentors with children who may not have a positive or active male role model. Jason was recently matched with a 10-year-old boy from our community. He is very sweet and polite, and he was really excited to participate in the run. I'm so proud of Jason for taking on this rewarding responsibility. He really has a heart to help others...especially kids. My co-worker, Christina, and her husband, Sean, also came to participate. Sean completed the 10K! He did great! Christina, Jason, and I signed up for the 2 mile walk. Although Jason generally likes to run, he had to take it easy since he had knee surgery a few weeks ago.

Jason's mentee about to cross the finish line on the 2 mile run!

Great job!

Enjoying a walk in the park on a gorgeous day!
