Christmas 2010!

We had such a wonderful Christmas (ahem...Christmas-es) this year!  In just 3 days, we traveled from Wichita to Enid to see my side of the family, then Enid to Norman to see Jason's side of the family, then back to Wichita!!  Ian was able to see everyone and, of couse, had a great 1st Christmas!

Jason made this for his dad...don't know if you can tell, but the bottom pic of Jason and Ian is a re-creation of the top pic with Jason and his dad

Mantel with our family stockings - If you remember here, I just finished Ian's stocking in September, right before he was born!

As always, we were so blessed during the holidays.  It will be a lot of fun next year too because Ian will probably be walking around and getting into everything!  Maybe he can help open his own presents next year! :)

Ashley's Baby Shower

First of all, does anyone know how to rearrange pics in this program, once you've uploaded them? Mine are always out of order and I can't cut/paste them.

Last weekend, we had a baby shower at my mom's house for my cousin's (Scott) wife, Ashley! The theme was a holiday theme since my mom's house was decorated for Christmas. Scott and Ashley are due at the end of January with baby boy Hudson. Ian is excited to have another little boy in the family!

My mom was an angel during the shower and took care of Ian so I could help the other hostesses. Fortunately, he slept during a majority of the festivities. Here is a cute pic of mom and Ian (actually taken at the end of the shower...precipitating my question above).

Mom and I made a couple of diaper creations to help decorate. The first was a Christmas diaper wreath. You can't tell too well from the pic, but all fo the goodies were red and green.

We also made a diaper snowman...similar to a diaper cake! It was adorable and a big hit...perfect for the theme. Our refreshments included a Butternut Squash Soup with Apple Cream sauce and Rotisserie Chicken Salad sandwiches on croissants. Everything was super-delish!

As a little keepsake for Ashley, everyone wrote advice for her and baby Hudson on decorative river rocks to fill a glass apothecary jar.

If you'll remember when Ashley helped host my first baby shower, everyone signed a book instead of a card. This was SUCH a great idea because Ian has a bookshelf filled with awesome books! We did the same for Ashley, and she scored a great collection as well!

Here is a pic of all of the hostesses with Ashley

LifeGroup Christmas Party

I just realized that I had started this post, but never finished...
The week after our LifeGroup Thanksgiving party, we had our Christmas party. We had them this close together because we wanted to make sure Meg and Steve could make it before they were due with their little one. Crazy enough...Meg ended up having baby Roslyn about 2.5 weeks early. She was actually able to join us!

The theme was a "Tacky Christmas Sweater" party. There were some pretty funny ensembles! We even got Ian a tacky sweater and tacky onesie. :)

Here is a pic of our entire group...including baby Roslyn who was just born about 5 days prior! Ian is obviously not too excited about the picture. Now that 4 of the babies are here, once Shelby and Justan have their baby...we'll be complete! :)

Thanksgiving Events

As usual, I'm behind on blogging! We've done quite a bit over the past few weeks, but I need to back up to before Thankgiving. We had our first Thanksgiving dinner with our LifeGroup! Justan made a deep-fried turkey and everyone else brought the fixins...it was delicious! Here's some pics I took after we finished eating.

This was an adorable pic...all of the babies lined up asleep! Guess which one woke up first? Yup, you guessed it...mine! (in the middle)

Our second and third Thanksgiving meals were in Enid. Here are a few pics of Ian in his Thanksgiving outfits. We have sooo much to be thankful for!

I love his smile!!
